Will You Be My Bridesmaid?

Your big day is one of the most incredible and memorable days of your life, one that you share with only the people closest to your heart.  What better way to ask "Will You Be My Bridesmaid?" than with a customized, handmade gift?!

 

These rosette earrings are the basis of my small business, Northern Roots...they are what started it all!  I hand mold each pair from clay (and have just about any color you can imagine!) No molds are used, so each and every pair is completely unique.  Look closely at your pair and you will see my fingerprints in each petal.

 

 

Each pair you order for your bridesmaids will come perfectly packaged and ready to gift.  They will safely travel to you in a brown kraft box like the one below, with "Will You" printed on the front (secured with an adorable lace bow).

 

 

Your lovely lady will open her box to find her handmade earrings and the rest of your message - "Be My Bridesmaid?"

 

 

Of course she'll say yes without this sweet gift, but these might just make her a bit more patient with you in case your inner "bridezilla" comes out.  I made it all the way until the morning of my wedding before mine decided to rear it's ugly head.  And the very unenthusiastic head of the venue got to see it alllll.

Autumn Inspiration

 

 

 Just the other day, I was playing outside with my three year old daughter when we came across these leaves...or what is left of them.  I fell instantly in love.  It was a cooler day (which for Texas means it was near 80), and to me, these little guys seemed to be a sign that Autumn was near.  I'm hoping to somehow incorporate them into my work, but for now, I just wanted to share.

Customized Bridesmaid Clutches

This custom order was so much fun to work on!  The precious bride had me create earrings when she first became engaged to ask each girl to be her bridesmaid.  Closer to the big day, she contacted me with a clutch order and wanted to use a different fabric for each bridesmaid, something that would fit each personality.  I absolutely loved this idea, it made the clutches so personal!  She sent me a list of the girls and a brief description of each one, then I sent her the fabrics that fit each style and we went from there. 

Here is what we decided on for the "Vintage Glam" bridesmaid, I absolutely love the pop of red!

This high quality textured fabric was for the "Simple Elegance" bridesmaid, and features a fuzzy flower and branch pattern (that you just have to touch) on a pale gray linen blend fabric with a slight sheen.

I really enjoyed this order and hope to have many more like this one!

Custom Grace Kelly Bracelet

I recently had the pleasure of creating this piece for a fabulous customer!  She contacted me to ask if I could recreate the Grace Kelly bracelet from the movie "Rear Window" and use all hand-picked lockets.  After many Etsy and Ebay searching, (and only one "locket" purchased that wasn't actually a locket)...this is what we came up with!

She did a fabulous job designing this piece, and I really enjoyed making it.  If you're eyeing that irresistible bee locket, you can find it here as a gorgeous and very unique necklace.

Vintage Grace Kelly Inspired Bracelet for Someone Very Special

One of my very best friends called me several months ago.  She had just watched The movie, "Rear Window" and absolutely fell in love with Grace Kelly's pearl bracelet.  I recreated it for her, with my own touch of course.

Champagne pearls are mixed with 2 matte gold plated leaves, a gray gem wrapped in gold, and a matte gold plated branch.  Classic beauty with a twist, a lot like my best friend Kelly.  

Wishing Kelly a happy happy birthday!!!  You are so precious to me!

Now Available - Dangle Earrings!!

I've been wanting to add dangle earrings to my shop for years now, and recently had a custom request which gave me that extra push I needed to just do it!  I have to admit, I love them and wish I'd done it sooner!

The backs are silver plated leverback earrings and can be ordered for any normal size earring on my site (just not the mini's or those of you who love the huge ones).
