Falling Leaves Linen Clutch

Just sharing my newest clutch!  No surprise it's made from linen, with muslin and linen leaves handsewn to the front.  (Notice that little ball of white fur in the upper right hand corner?  That's my sheltie, who I honestly had to crop out of every single picture...he has a slight camera obsession).
It's slouchy and wrinkly and I love it!

Brushed antique bronze frame purchased from AmericanPurse on Etsy.

Mustard linen on the inside (one of my favorite colors).
Hand cut leaves, each are slightly different and hand sewn on to the front of the clutch.  You can purchase this clutch here.

If you're looking to create a clutch of your own, I found this tutorial very helpful at U-Handbag , and if you'd rather just buy one from me :), please email me at northernrootsetsy@gmail.com or visit my Etsy shop Northern Roots.

Have a wonderful day!!

A New Project, A New Love.

It's no secret that I am absolutely obsessed with linen, and equally in love with kiss clutches.  So, why not create a linen kiss clutch?!  Linen wrinkles easily, but that's part of what I love about it.  It's perfectly imperfect.

The metal frames were an inspiring gift from my dad.

I cut the lace from a shirt that I accidently shrunk.  Sooo...now I'm on a hunt to buy more!

The interior fabric is a gorgeous bright paisley that I found in my mom's fabric collection and I've been hoarding for years...just waiting for the perfect project.

I adore this bag and can't wait to create more and add them to my shop!

If you're looking to create your own metal frame purse, this tutorial was incredible.  Easy to follow and customize.
